HISTORY OF FORMATION

In 1954, after taking over the capital, President Ho Chi Minh signed the order to set up a light house under the Hanoi Department of Electricity, which included tasks such as electricity generation, civil lighting, street lighting. In 1982, the public street lighting department separated from the Electricity Department and established a public lighting management enterprise under Decision No. 738/QD-UBND of March 4, 1982 of Hanoi People's Committee. According to the Decision No. 4717/QD-UBND dated October 18, 1990 by the People's Committee of Hanoi, the Enterprise of Public Lighting Management changed its name to Public Lighting Company. On April 28, 1995, according to Decision No. 1033/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Hanoi, Lighting and Urban Equipment Company Limited was established on the basis of merger between two companies: Public Lighting Company and Hanoi Automobile Repairing Company.
